April 2, 2025: Chile’s President Gabriel Boric Font is currently visiting India as the two countries celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations. During his speech at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s diplomatic skills, saying he is the only leader who can connect with every other leader worldwide, including Trump, Zelensky and Putin.

President Boric Font commended PM Modi’s unique ability to engage with leaders from different parts of the world, including the European Union, Latin America, BRICS and Iran. He acknowledged PM Modi’s key role in the current geopolitical landscape.

The Chilean president also appreciated India’s democratic values, highlighting its position as world’s largest democracy.

In response, PM Modi welcomed President Boric Font and expressed interest in expanding economic ties with Chile. PM Modi also appreciated the growing popularity of Yoga and Ayurveda in Chile and emphasized the cultural exchange programs between the two nations.
