February 11, 2025: Two Indian Army soldiers, including a captain, were killed in a suspected improvised explosive device (IED) blast during a routine patrol in the Laleali area of the Akhnoor sector in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
According to an official statement from the Army's White Knight Corps, the incident occurred when the troops were conducting a fence patrol near a forward post in the Bhattal area around 3:50 PM. The powerful explosion left multiple personnel injured, two of whom succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The condition of another injured soldier is reported to be stable.
