July 7, 2021: A London-bound consignment of 400 jackfruits was sent from Agartala on July 6. Tripura horticulture secretary CK Jamatia flagged off the vehicle carrying the consignment.



Speaking to ANI, Secretary Jamatia said, “Jackfruit is one of the major fruits of Tripura and this is the first time that Tripura is sending jackfruits to Dubai and the UK. Today the second consignment is being exported from the state and with the basic objective is to help the farmers towards doubling their income.”
