February 22, 2024: Triggering sensation, the deputy leader of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM), Kilonser Khampei Konyak, was reportedly assassinated by unidentified assailants in the Mon district of Nagaland.

As per sources, Konyak was at his home when a group of six unidentified miscreants forcibly entered his residence and allegedly shot him. Despite efforts to rush him to the hospital, the NSCN-IM leader succumbed to his injuries.

Therefore, Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
