February 23, 2024: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday announced that a financial aid of Rs 1 Crore will be given to the family of Shubhkaran Singh, who lost his life during the farmers' protests at the Khanauri border point on the Punjab-Haryana border on Wednesday.



As per sources, a 21-year-old Shubhkaran Singh hailing from Bathinda and at least 12 police personnel have lost their lives during the clash that took place when the protesting farmers were trying to head towards barricades.



The Chief Minister has also announced a government job will be given to the martyr Shubhkaran Singh’s younger sister and legal action would be taken against the culprits.
