May 3, 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and many leaders have wishes everyone on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.



Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramzan or Ramadan when people fast for the well being of all.



Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated on the first day of the month of Shawwal. Prayers are offered in Idgahs and mosques and after the prayers it is all about feasting, visiting family and friends and eating together and exchanging gifts.



Taking to Twitter, PM Modi said, “Best wishes on Eid-ul-Fitr. May this auspicious occasion enhance the spirit of togetherness and brotherhood in our society. May everyone be blessed with good health and prosperity.”





On the other, Assam CM Sarma said, “Greetings on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. May the festival spread happiness and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood among all. I pray for the well-being and happiness of all.”
