November 18, 2022: A 17-year-old girl hailing from Uttar Pradesh was raped on several occasions by her father, grandfather and uncle for around six years.

The minor is currently studying at a college in Pune.

The incident came to light after the girl recently narrated her story before the members of Vishakha committee on sexual harassment of her college.

Based on a complaint registered on Wednesday at Pune Police Station, her father was arrested under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act).

The victim, in her complaint, alleged that when she was at her hometown in Uttar Pradesh between 2016 and 2018, she was raped multiple times by her uncle and molested by her grandfather.

"After coming to Pune in 2018, the girl informed her father about the sexual assault incidents by writing letter. However, instead of taking action against the heinous crime, the father also started to raped when her mother was not at home," police officials informed.
