March 26, 2024: A 45-year-old farmer allegedly murdered his wife and two daughters by setting them on fire at their house in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra on Monday. The incident happened at Pimpalgaon Langa village.



As per sources, the deceased have been identified as Leela Landge (36) and his two daughters Sakshi (14) and Khushi (13).

The accused Sunil Landge suspected that his wife was having an affair with someone else for which they use to quarrel frequently. Firstly, Sunil locked his wife and children in their house and then poured petrol and set it on fire. Within some time, the entire house was gutted in the fire. When his wife and two daughters cried for help, some local residents rushed to the spot but all three of them suffered severe burns and died in the incident.



After receiving information about the incident, a team of police reached the spot for investigation and arrested the accused. Police officials said that the accused Sunil didn’t even try to escape and was found sitting under a tree near his house.
