August 29, 2022: “Reliance Jio has prepared world’s fastest 5G rollout plan. By Diwali 2022 we will launch Jio 5G across multiple key cities, including metro cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. By December 2023, we will deliver Jio 5G to every town, taluka and tehsil of India”, Mukesh Ambani, CMD, Reliance Industries Limited said addressing the 45th AGM of the company, India's largest in terms of market-capitalisation.

“Jio 5G services will connect everyone, every place and everything with the highest quality and affordability. We are committed to making India a data powered economy even ahead of China and US,” Ambani further said.

“Jio will deploy the latest version of 5G called 'standalone 5G'. To build a pan-India true 5G network, Jio will invest Rs 2 lakh crores,” Akash Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Jio said at the AGM.
