March 10, 2023: India recorded two death cases caused by H3N2 virus on Friday. Reportedly, one person lost his life in Haryana and other in Karnataka.
Influenza A virus subtype H3N2 is a subtype of viruses that causes influenza (flu). It is an important cause of human influenza. H3N2 viruses can also infect birds and mammals.
The symptoms of H3N2 virus are: cough, fever, nausea, vomiting, an ache in muscles and body and diarrhoea.
At least 90 cases of H3N2 virus have been recorded in India so far.
