March 25, 2024: At least 14 priests were injured after a fire broke out at the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday.

As per reports, the fire occurred during Bhasma Aarti inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple on the occasion of Holi. One of the eyewitnesses said that the fire broke out while gulaal was being thrown.

The injured, including the temple staff and the head priest of Sanjay Guru, were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, no casualties have been reported.
