February 15, 2024: Amid the ongoing farmer protests and demands for the implementation of minimum support price (MSP) laws and other agricultural reforms, the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and Samyukat Kisna have jointly called for a nationwide ‘Gramin Bharat Bandh’ on February 16, 2024.

The Bharat Bandh is scheduled to take place from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Farmers plan to stage chakka bandh on main roads nationwide and close Punjab's highways for four hours.

The bandh aims to highlight the unfulfilled promises made by the central government during the 2020 protests and draw attention to various issues affecting farmers and workers across the country.

Protesters urge to close the essential services such as the supply of vegetables, village shops, agricultural activities, rural works and MNREGA works etc.
