March 31, 2025: The city witnessed yet another shocking murder as a woman was allegedly killed by her lover. The deceased has been identified as Junu Rajbongshi.

According to sources, Junu, who worked as a street vendor, was previously married, but her husband had passed away. She was in a relationship with a man named Vijay, who is now the prime suspect in her murder.

On Saturday night, a heated argument reportedly took place between Junu and Vijay. Following the altercation, Junu’s phone remained switched off, raising concerns among her family members.

Tragically, her lifeless body was recovered today. The Basistha police have already reached the crime scene and initiated an investigation into the case.
