September 7, 2023: A woman ended her life after being allegedly harassed for dowry by her husband’s family in Nagarbera, Assam on Wednesday.

Reportedly, the deceased woman ended her life by pouring diesel on her body. The victim succumbs to her injuries on her way to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment.

According to sources, the deceased woman was married to her husband identified as Hafizur Rahman five years ago.

On the other hand, the victim’s father claimed that his daughter had been killed by his son-in-law’s family.

Therefore, Assam Police arrested the husband and his father Rahim Ali.
