September 6, 2023: Four persons have been detained from Dhing for involvement in child marriage related cases on Wednesday.

Reportedly, Assam Police detained one husband along with three more persons from Lali Pathar village. The husband has been identified as Karijul Islam and his father is identified as Abdul Qadir.

According to officials, Abdul Qadir married his son Karijul to a 16-year-old girl from Shalmari village of Nagaon district 11 months ago.
