Assam CM Visits Singapore to Attract Investments Ahead of Advantage Assam Summit

February 10, 2025: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has embarked on a two-day visit to Singapore to attract investors for the upcoming Advantage Assam summit, scheduled for February 25 and 26.

During his visit, Sarma will engage with top industry leaders, highlighting Assam’s potential in semiconductors, deep technology, infrastructure, and manufacturing. A roadshow and one-on-one meetings with key investors are planned to explore strategic collaborations.

Taking to X on Sunday, Sarma said, “I will be in Singapore for the next two days to promote Advantage Assam, highlighting the state’s growing potential... A key focus will be on positioning Assam as an emerging hub for advanced industries and innovation.”

The Chief Minister’s visit to Singapore follows similar trips to South Korea and Japan, where he met with investors and extended invitations for the summit.

Sarma emphasized that Advantage Assam will pave the way for significant investments, creating government job opportunities and boosting entrepreneurship.

Additionally, the event will showcase Assam’s cultural heritage, with a grand Jhumur dance performance featuring over 7,500 artists from the tea tribe community. Extensive preparations, including master training workshops and constituency-level rehearsals, are underway to ensure flawless execution.

The Advantage Assam summit aims to position the state as a prime investment destination while celebrating its rich traditions on a global platform.
