Guwahati: A gruesome murder took place at Barkhola Jarailtala in Cachar, Assam, where a woman was allegedly killed by her husband.

The woman identified as Pini Gowal, was brutally killed by her husband, Bulu Gowal, in a fit of rage.

According to reports, the incident occurred on the night of Thursday, when Bulu, under the influence of alcohol, got into a heated argument with his wife, Pini.

The altercation escalated, and Bulu, in a state of inebriation, attacked Pini, resulting in her death on the spot.

The police promptly responded to the incident and arrested Bulu Gowal, the accused husband. 

Police are currently investigating the matter further to determine the circumstances surrounding the event.
