May 4, 2022: In a piece of good news for the people of Palasbari and Sualkuchi, a 4-bridge will be constructed over the Brahmaputra River connecting both the places.

The bridge is expected to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 289.45 Cr.

This four-lane bridge will shorten the distance between LGBI Airport & Lower Assam districts by 25 km and ensure seamless connectivity to Sualkuchi and Amingaon from the airport.

 This is part of the slew of Cabinet decisions taken by the Assam government at the Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, May 3. The meeting chaired by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma cleared several other developmental projects for the state.
