July 31, 2020: Nagaland BJP's state president Temjen Imna Along is facing revolt from within the party. Some district presidents have launched a poster campaign seeking removal of Along from the party chief's post.
The party's district presidents of several districts posted photos holding placards with “Will not undertake any party activity unless the president was removed”, “No to liars, we want president with principles”, etc.
This is not the first instance when the party president faced revolt. Earlier too, many districts had demanded removal of Along. They accused him of being dictatorial, autocratic and not being transparent in financial matters.
