August 2, 2020: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath cancelled his scheduled visit to Ayodhya on Sunday at the last minute.



The CM cancelled his visit following the death of his cabinet colleague Kamla Rani Varun.



Kamla Rani Varun, who was the technical education minister had tested Covid positive and died at a Lucknow hospital on Sunday.



Due to the last minute change in the CM's schedule, the Nishan Poojan at Hanumangarhi has been cancelled.



Now, the Nishan Pooja will take place on August 4, a day before the Bhumi Pujan.



A Diwali-like celebrations atmosphere is prevailing in Ayodhya. The entire city was illuminated on Saturday before the grand function.
