August 26, 2024: In a horrific incident, at least 23 people were killed after they were forced out of their vehicles and shot by gunmen in Southwest Pakistan on Monday morning.



According to the reports, the militants stopped several buses, trucks and vans and shot people after checking their ethnicity in the district of Musakhail in Balochistan province. Five people were injured.



The perpetrators set fires to at least 10 vehicles before making their escape from the crime scene.



"At least 22 people were killed and five injured when militants stopped several busses, trucks and vans on a highway connecting Punjab with Balochistan," Najibullah Kakar, a senior official in Musakhail, told the media.



Mohsin Naqvi, the interior minister of Pakistan, strongly condemned the attack describing it as ‘barbaric’ and assured that those responsible would face the full force of the law and not evades justice.



No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
