April 3, 2025: A tragic road accident occurred in Khairabari, Barpeta Road, resulting in the death of one person on the spot and leaving two others critically injured.

According to reports, the accident happened due to a high-speed head-on collision between two motorcycles—a KTM bike without a number plate and an Apache bike bearing registration number AS15 W5975. The impact of the crash was so severe that one of the riders lost his life instantly, while the other two sustained grievous injuries.

Upon receiving information, the Barpeta Road police promptly arrived at the scene and rushed the injured victims to Barpeta Road FRU Primary Health Center for immediate medical attention. However, doctors declared one of the bike riders dead upon arrival. Given the critical condition of the other two injured individuals, they were referred to Barpeta Medical College for advanced treatment.

As of now, the identity of the deceased youth remains unknown. The two injured victims have been identified as Sajamal and Waz Uddin, both residents of Alengamari in Baksa district.

Authorities are investigating the incident, and further details are awaited.
