February 25, 2023: The death toll in the Turkey-Syria earthquake crossed 50,000 on Friday.

More than ten thousands of people were injured and trapped under the rubble after a earthquake magnitude 7.8 rattled down Turkey and Syria two weeks ago.

According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the death toll in Turkey has risen to 44, 218 till Friday night.

On the other hand, the death toll in Syria has risen to 5,914.

All the NDRF rescue teams, a specially trained dog squad along with some medical teams returned back to India who was deployed under Operation Dost to help the earthquake-affected victims in Turkey.
