March 22, 2025: Today, on World Water Day, the Ministry of Jal Shakti, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the govt of Haryana, launches the highly anticipated Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain 2025. The initiative aims to emphasize the importance of water conservation and management through community participation and innovative strategies.
The campaign highlights the crucial role of water security, rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge in addressing climate change and growing water challenges. To achieve this, the initiative will focus on 148 districts across India, fostering great collaboration between govt agencies and communities to ensure sustainable water resources management.
The launch event will take place at the Multipurpose Hall, Tau Devi Lal stadium, Panchkula, Haryana.
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Nayab Singh Saini and Hon’ble minister of Jal Shakti , Shri C.R. Patil, will attend the event.
Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain-2025 aims to inspire nationwide awareness and action for water conservation, making the vision of “Every drop counts” a reality.
