January 24, 2025: Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag and his wife, Aarti, have reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram, stirring further speculation about their relationship amid divorce rumours. The couple, who has been married for 20 years, is said to have been living separately for several months, according to reports.
Sehwag and Aarti tied the knot in 2004 and share two sons, Aryavir and Vedant. In recent months, fans have noticed Aarti’s absence from Sehwag’s social media posts, which has led to increased chatter regarding the couple’s personal life. The former India opener has not publicly commented on the situation, but the lack of social media presence of his wife and the couple’s reduced public appearances have raised concerns.
The speculation regarding their separation first surfaced when Sehwag posted Diwali pictures in 2024 featuring his mother, Krishna, and his elder son, Aryavir, but omitted any mention of Aarti or their younger son, Vedant. This noticeable absence led to growing rumours of a possible split, fueling ongoing debates among fans and media.
Sehwag, widely regarded as one of India’s finest openers in Test cricket, has enjoyed a successful career, amassing 8,586 runs in 104 matches, including 23 centuries. However, despite his public achievements, the cricketer’s personal life has now taken centre stage with these new developments.
As of now, neither Sehwag nor Aarti has officially addressed the rumours, leaving fans to speculate about the future of their relationship.
