September 18, 2023: A US F-35 fighter aircraft has gone missing in South Carolina after its pilot safely ejected the jet due to mishap on Sunday.

According to some sources, the aircraft was a Lockheed Martin F-35 lightening II belonging to Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.

The base authorities said they are working on it to locate the missing aircraft, in coordination with federal aviation regulators, around two lakes north of the city of Charleston.
