January 3, 2025: In a heartbreaking turn of events, Raj Khaund and Manabjyoti Koch have been arrested in connection with the tragic suicide of Payel Saikia. The incident, which has sent shockwaves through the community, occurred on December 31, 2024.

According to the police, Payel, who was struggling with personal turmoil, was allegedly incited to take her own life by Raj and Manab. Raj, who deceptively introduced himself to others as Payel's husband, never legally married her. Despite Payel’s repeated pleas for marriage, Raj reportedly avoided commitment while fostering a relationship with her through false promises and temptations.

Adding to the complexity, Payel recently developed romantic feelings for Manabjyoti, whom she called her brother, who also served as her manager. This entangled relationship allegedly contributed to Payel's emotional distress. As her personal life spiraled out of control, she became mentally broken, resorting to substance abuse in an attempt to escape her pain.

On the fateful night of December 31, Payel was found to have taken her own life, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions. Police have since registered a case (1/25 no.) and filed charges under sections 108/69/61(2)/351(2)(3).

Raj Khaund and Manabjyoti Koch were taken into custody following the investigation, with authorities alleging their direct involvement in inciting Payel's suicide. The case has highlighted issues of emotional manipulation and the devastating impact of unresolved personal struggles.
