April 5, 2025: The power couple of American politics, Barack and Michelle Obama, have been making headlines recently, with rumours swirling about their marriage. However, in a heartwarming revelation, former president Obama has opened up about the challenges he faced in his relationship with Michelle, admitting that his two terms in White House put a strain on their marriage.

Speaking at a Hamilton College event, Obama shared that he had been working to reconnect with Michelle, doing “fun things” occasionally to make up her lost time. “I was in a deep deficit with my wife,” he confessed.

The Obamas met in the late 1980s while working at a law firm in Chicago and married in 1992. Michelle has also talked candidly about their marriage struggles, revealing that there were 10 years where she couldn’t stand her husband.

Despite astrologer Amy Tripp’s prediction of a rocky period for the Obamas, the couple seems committed to nurturing their relationship. With Barack working on the second half of his memoir and Michelle focusing on her own projects, they’re finding new ways to connect and strengthen their bond.
