Second Train Derailment Attempt in Two Days Foiled in Ajmer

September 10, 2024: In a disturbing repeat of recent events, unidentified individuals attempted to derail a goods train in Ajmer, Rajasthan, by placing two cement blocks on the railway track. The incident occurred on Sunday night at around 10:30 PM between Saradhna and Bangad stations along the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor on the Phulera-Ahmedabad stretch.

The cement blocks, each weighing approximately 70 kilograms, were strategically placed on the track in an apparent effort to cause a derailment. Despite the collision with the blocks, the train successfully continued its journey without sustaining any damage.

Railway employees quickly reported the incident after discovering the blocks on the track. Upon inspection, authorities found that one of the blocks had been damaged, while a second block was located some distance away from the first.

The police have initiated a comprehensive investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible for this dangerous act.

All passengers were safely rescued, and no casualties were reported.
