September 18, 2023: One smuggler was injured in an encounter which took place between forest workers and timber smugglers in Naharkatia, Assam on Monday.
Reportedly, the incident took place when the forest workers were on patrol in the Dehing Patkai National Park.
As per reports, the forest workers recovered a rifle and a mobile phone from the scene.
