March 22, 2023: The Kaziranga National Park on Wednesday issued an order that jeep safari and elephant safari will be closed for tourists from April 6 to 8, 2023.



The safari will be closed for the ranges: Kaziranga, Bagori, Burhapahar and Agoratoli due to the celebration of Gaj Utsav.

Gaj Utsav is celebrated to create awareness about India’s National Heritage animal. This event is organised by the Environment and Forest Department, Assam govt and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC).
