May 24, 2023: In a joint operation carried out by Imphal West District Police and 22 Assam Rifles, a huge amount of arms and ammunition have been seized at Kangchup Foothill in Manipur on Tuesday night.

According to the officials, three persons who were traveling in a vehicle have been arrested in connection to the case. The arrested persons have been identified as Thangneimang Khaute Vaiphei, Luntinsang Chongloi and Lunsiamlen Vaiphei.

During the interrogation, the arrested persons disclosed that they brought the arms and ammunition from Churachandpur.
