November 1, 2022: The city buses in Guwahati, Assam began to provide e-tickets to passengers for collection of fare from Tuesday (Nov 1).

The order was passed by the Transport Department of the Kamrup Metro district of Assam. All owners of city buses in Guwahati were asked to acquire e-ticketing machines from November 1.

The transport department ordered that any bus found without an e-ticketing machine will not be allowed to ply on the roads.
