Congress Expels 10 Leaders in Haryana for Anti-Party Activities

September 30, 2024: In a significant shake-up, the Congress party has expelled ten leaders from its Haryana unit for a period of six years due to their involvement in anti-party activities. The decision was announced by the All India Congress Committee (AICC), which stated that the disciplinary committee acted with the approval of the party's president.

Among those expelled are prominent figures such as Chitra Sarwara, Satvinder Rana, Kapoor Singh Narwal, and Virender Ghoghrian. The party has made it clear that such actions are taken to uphold party discipline and unity in the face of internal dissent.

Simultaneously, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also took decisive action, expelling eight leaders for choosing to contest the upcoming Haryana assembly elections as independent candidates. Notable among the expelled BJP members are former minister Ranjit Chautala and former MLA Devendra Kadyan. The list of expelled BJP leaders includes Sandeep Garg from Ladwa, Jilaram Sharma from Assandh, Davendra Kadyan from Ganaur, Bachchan Singh Arya from Safidon, Ranjit Chautala from Rania, Radha Ahlawat from Meham, Naveen Goyal from Gurugram, and Kehar Singh Rawat from Hathin.

Both parties are facing challenges in maintaining party unity as they prepare for the upcoming elections, with these expulsions highlighting the tensions and dissent within their ranks.
