March 23, 2023: A huge amount of gold around half kilograms worth Rs 36 lakhs has been seized by Railway Police (GRP) at Guwahati Railway Station in Assam on Thursday.

The gold has been recovered from Rajdhani Express train.

Reportedly, one smuggler named Dharmendra Kumar who hails from Bihar has been arrested by the police.

As per reports, Dharmendra was smuggling the gold to Muzaffarpur via train from Dimapur.

On the other hand, over 93 kg of ganja have also been seized from the same train by police on the same day during a search operation.
