Guwahati: An 18-year-old student was reportedly found dead in the Manik Nagar area of Guwahati, Assam, on Thursday evening.

As per reports, the deceased was identified as Sandip Koiri. The incident is suspected to be a case of suicide.

The deceased, a resident of Biswanath Chariali, was reportedly preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), which was scheduled to begin on Friday. He was attending coaching classes at a private institute in the city.

Police personnel arrived at the scene and have initiated an investigation into the matter. Police said that they are investigating the incident from all angles.
