April 4, 2025: In a dramatic turn of events, a man who faked a robbery at Fancy Bazaar has been arrested by the police. The accused, identified as Anil Sharma, had allegedly staged the incident to mislead authorities and create a false narrative.

According to reports, Sharma claimed that ₹6 lakh was stolen from him while he was on his way to deposit the money at the Union Bank ATM on Jail Road. However, upon investigation, it was revealed that he had fabricated the story and had taken the money himself from his own business establishment.

The police, after gathering evidence and conducting inquiries, arrested Anil Sharma for orchestrating the false robbery drama. The entire amount of ₹6 lakh was recovered from him.

Authorities have urged citizens to refrain from making false claims, as such actions waste police resources and can lead to legal consequences. An investigation is underway to determine if Sharma had any accomplices in the act.
