July 24, 2021: While Manipur’s Mira Bai Chanu made India and northeast proud by winning silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, her fellow Manipur Judoka Shushila Devi Likmabam's run at the Tokyo Olympics ended in the first round with a 10-0 defeat to Hungarian veteran Eva Csernoviczki in women's 48kg judo today.

Her defeat has ended India's challenge in judo at Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Shushila, who was making her Olympic debut, repelled Csernoviczki’s first attack and both earned shidos (penalty) for avoiding the other’s grip.
