March 7, 2023: Around 40 peacocks were found dead in Madurai District in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday.

As per reports, at least 18 peacocks were recovered on Monday and more than 20 peacocks have been recovered today.

According to forest officials, the dead peacocks were recovered and sent for post-mortem.

The Madurai forest officials informed that around 40 peacocks have been found dead in the last two days and a case has been registered.
