August 28, 2024: On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi  praised the people behind the success of Jan Dhan Yojana and state that the scheme has been significant in improving the financial inclusion.

The PM Modi sai, “Today, we mark a momentous occasion - #10YearsOfJanDhan. Congratulations to all the beneficiaries and compliments to all those who worked to make this scheme a success.”

He added that the Jan Dhan Yojana has been of great importance in augmenting financial inclusion and giving dignity to crore of people, especially women, youth and the marginalized communities.

The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana was launched on this day in 2014 as a national mission for financial inclusion.
