September 25, 2021: Prime Minister Narendra Modi got slightly richer than last year. His net worth has increased to Rs 3.07 crore from Rs 2.85 crore a year ago, an increase of Rs 22 lakh, as per the latest official declaration.



The rise in his wealth is mainly due to his FDs (fixed deposits) in the Gandhinagar branch of the State Bank of India (SBI). As per the self-declaration filed by the PM, the FD amount stands at Rs 1.86 crore as of March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 1.6 crore last year.





The Prime Minister has Rs 2.5 lakh as bank balance and Rs 36,000 as cash as on March 31, 2021.



He does not have any stock market exposure and his investments are in the form of life insurance policies (Rs 1.5 lakh), National Savings Certificate (Rs 8.9 lakh), and L&T infrastructure bonds he purchased in 2012 for Rs 20,000.

The prime minister has four gold rings worth Rs 1.48 lakh. The gross total value of his moveable assets is approx. Rs 1.97 crore.



The PM has no loans, nor any liabilities. He does not own any personal vehicle.
