February 27, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced the names of the four astronauts that will fly to low-Earth orbit as part of the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) Gaganyaan mission.



The four astronauts are -- Prashanth Balakrishnan Nair, Angad Prathap, Ajit Krishnan, and Shubhanshu Shukla. PM announced the names of the astronauts while visiting the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
