March 1, 2024: A ‘Mentally Disturbed’ man has been apprehended by police in Maharashtra on Thursday night from a pond after allegedly killing two elderly people with an axe. The accused has been identified as Kishor Kumar Mandal.

The incident took place in the Koodan village of Boisar area in Palghar district. Following the incident, the accused also targeted another individual’s residence. But when the disturbance drew attention from the locals, the accused immediately fled from the crime scene.

Later, the accused was apprehended from a muddy pond of a forest in Koodan.
