June 9, 2023: The Internet services have been partially resumed in Kolhapur, Maharashtra on Friday.

Earlier, the administration had suspended the internet services immediately after a clash broke out between the members of some Hindu organisations and the Police in Kolhapur.

According to sources, the tension erupted after some youth allegedly posted objectionable posts on social media with a reference to Aurangzeb and Tipu Sultan.

Around 36 people have been arrested on the charges of damaging and vandalising public properties in the clash.
