May 18, 2023: KC Venugopal, the Congress General Secretary, on Thursday announced officially that Siddaramaiah will be the next Chief Minister of Karnataka. On the other hand, Congress leader DK Shivakumar will be the Deputy Chief Minister.

The oath taking ceremony will take place on May 20.

Addressing a press conference, KC Venugopal informed, “Siddaramaiah will be the Chief Minister of Karnataka and DK Shivakumar will be the only deputy CM, announces KC Venugopal, Congress General Secretary –Organisation.”

He also added, “Shivakumar will continue as the PCC president till the end of parliamentary elections.”
