July 12, 2023: Heavy rainfall triggered landslides, flash floods and severe damage in several places in Himachal Pradesh.

The flash floods have damaged the highways, roads and electricity supply. Several houses and land have been destroyed due to the floods.

According to sources, many tourists have been stranded in Manali and internet services have been disrupted in some of the areas.

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, informed that around 2000 people stranded in Kasol have been evacuated so far.

However, rescue operations in some parts of Himachal amid heavy rainfall are underway.
