May 1, 2024: Two sisters identified as Sita and Gita from Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur who were presumed dead after their brother lodged a missing complaint in January 2023 found alive, married and also had a child each.

Earlier, Sita and Gita used to live with their parents and Brother named as Ajay Prajapati in Delhi. According to the missing complaint, Ajay claimed that one of his siblings was allegedly having an affair with a man from their village Belghat. Following the information, Ajay visited the man’s house to enquire about the matter but he was verbally and physically assaulted and threatened to get killed.

As per sources, Uttar Pradesh Police began investigating the matter based on the complaint registered. During investigation, the real story came to light that the two sisters are still alive. Therefore, when police found their phone numbers and called them, they said that they had run away from home to marry their lovers from Uttarakhand and Haryana.
