September 23, 2023: Continuous heavy rainfall wreaked havoc in different places of Maharashtra in the wee hours of Saturday morning.



Flood waters entered the houses, especially those situated near the Nag River and Pili River. Waterlogging was also reported at Canal Road Ramdaspeth in Nagpur where locals were stuck in their houses.



A team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) evacuated as many as six people stranded in the Ambajhari Lake area in Maharashtra. A team was also deployed in the rain-affected area to rescue the people.



Earlier, the Regional Meteorological Centre, Mumbai had predicted heavy rainfall in Maharashtra for the next three days.
