September 14: A class 10 student allegedly poured petrol on his classmate and set him on fire after a brawl over damaging the schoolbag. The incident took place at City High School in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday (12 Sept).

Reportedly, the victim has been identified as Mohammed Kaif. He has been hospitalised as he had suffered approximately 25 per cent burn injuries. The student currently is in stable condition.

However, the victim stated that there was no dispute between him and the accused.

The victim’s parents have lodged an FIR and the accused student is absconding after committing the crime.
