March 1, 2024: Three students were injured after a clash broke out between two groups - Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Left-wing organisations - over the selection of election committee members general body meeting (GBM) at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus in Delhi on Friday.



The left-wing organisations include All India Students Association (AISA), Democratic Students’ Federation (DSF) and Students’ Federation of India (SFI). 





As per sources, the incident happened on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. The group of students attacked each other with sticks the entire night.



However, Delhi Police informed that they have received complaints from both sides, in connection with the incident. Therefore, the investigations are underway.
